UFC 268: Usman vs Covington 2

In November 2021, the Ultimate Fighting Championship held a mixed martial arts event called UFC: Usman vs. Covington 2 at Madison Square Garden.

 It featured a fight between champion Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington, who was the interim champion before the event.


In December 2019, they faced off at UFC 245, where Usman defended his title with a fifth-round technical knockout victory. Prior to this fight, Luque was considered a potential replacement for this event.


Rose Namajunas and Zhang Weili faced off for the second time in the women's strawweight division at UFC Fight Night, with the former taking on the latter for the first time.


In September, de Randamie withdrew due to an injury.


Chris Curtis was supposed to meet with Phil Hawes at UFC Fight Night, but the latter declined the fight due to Curtis being replaced by Jeremy Stephens.


Due to a medical condition, Bruno Souza was promoted to replace the injured Latrell Laramie. Souza was able to make the weight limit and forfeited a portion of his purse due to his actions.


It was originally scheduled that John Allan and Aleksa Camur would fight in a light heavyweight match. However, Allan was forced to replace Camur due to an injury. Dustin Jacoby stepped in and beat the former.


In his fight against Ode' Osbourne, he forfeited 20% of his purse due to a catchweight violation.


New York City's Madison Square Garden is the venue for the upcoming UFC 268 event, which features a pair of title fights, as well as a pair of non-title fights.


Kamaru Usman retained his UFC lightweight title with a late TKO victory over Colby Covington.
